Ocean Odyssey
ENVIRONMENTAL INSTALLATION CONCEPT
This collaborative concept explores the creation of a travelling installation designed to bring the hidden beauty and fragility of coral reefs to locations far from the ocean. The immersive tunnel experience invites visitors to engage with the underwater world in a deeply sensory way. Inside, audiences can touch intricately crafted 3D coral forms made from textiles, listen to ambient ocean sounds, and watch shifting, water-like lighting that evokes the movement and mood of the sea.
The tunnel is split into two contrasting sections: one vibrant and teeming with life, representing a healthy coral reef; the other stark and monochromatic, symbolising coral bleaching and loss. This dual experience encourages reflection on both the devastation and the potential for renewal. By merging interactivity with education, our goal is to raise awareness about coral destruction and inspire a deeper connection to marine conservation through visual storytelling and tactile engagement.
